PROMOTIONS: Check discounts from our Combo Specials and Day Specials. We implement the Safe Surgery protocol to offer maximum guarantees.
  • Take this protocol very seriously and stick to it meticulously, it is for your own safety, since the performance of diagnoses, treatments, surgeries or anesthetic procedures in a patient carrying the SARS-CoV-2 virus, causing COVID-19, well either in an asymptomatic state or with evident disease, they imply a risk of developing COVID-19, that it has a worse evolution, faster, more lasting, more aggressive, with more complications and more lethal, or with greater subsequent sequelae. Even if you are a young and healthy person with low risk facing COVID-19, the moment you undergo surgery and anesthesia you become a potentially severe case if you are operated on in the asymptomatic phase.
  • In the current epidemiological context the preoperative PCR test for detection of the SARS-CoV-2 virus within the established presurgical period is mandatory and the document accrediting a negative result must be provided by the patient at the time of hospital admission for surgery. You are free to choose the laboratory you trust for this purpose; if you wish in our facilities we have a specialized laboratory to carry out said test, request from us information by writing to the Sales Team.
  • The patient must apply over his daily life the protocols of SARS-CoV-2 virus contagion prevention established by the health authorities, for at least 14 days before his surgery day, minimizing his social interaction and avoiding exposure to situations and environments of contagion risk; in case of not being possible avoiding an exposure with risk of contagion it is recommended the correct use of FFP2 or FFP3 level face masks. In short, living a healthy life and preferably outdoors, maintaining a very limited and prudent activity; intensive and systematic ventilation of both the home and the workplace if it is closed is essential, repeatedly every hour or at least several times a day, as well as avoiding any other closed places, especially if they are poorly ventilated, not very spacious, crowded, shared, those where people speak loud, sing or where those present maintain a high respiratory rate.
  • The patient must undergo a home confinement as absolute and strict as possible together with complete social isolation, including isolation from those cohabiting, for a period of 5 days before the preoperative PCR test for detection of the SARS-CoV-2 virus; this is medically justified because it is the most likely period both for the infection to be asymptomatic and for the PCR to give a false negative result.
  • The preoperative PCR test for detection of the SARS-CoV-2 virus should be carried out as close in time to the surgery day as possible, which depending on different logistical and organizational issues will be between 24 and 72 hours before treatment, with costs entirely at your expense since it is not included in the price of your treatments; once the nasopharyngeal sample has been taken the patient must continue with the same confinement and isolation mentioned in the previous point until the time of his intervention.
  • When the patient needs public transportation to reach our facilities, especially if they are long-distance trips, he/she must take extreme precautions to avoid the contagion of the COVID-19 virus, which includes the correct use of FFP2 or FFP3 level face masks.
  • The patient must notify the Medical Team immediately about the appearance of the signs and symptoms of COVID-19 at any time before or after treatment.
  • The signs and symptoms of COVID-19 are nonspecific and its presentation may even be without symptoms, the most frequent being fever, chills, fatigue, muscle pain or joint pain, loss of taste, loss of smell, conjunctival congestion, nasal congestion, sore throat, dry cough, shortness of breath, chest pain, sputum production, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, headache, confusion, altered consciousness, irregular pulse, palpitations, skin rash, etc.
  • Keep in mind for your own personal safety that currently the most frequent situations of SARS-CoV-2 virus infection are caused by aerosol vectors that persist for hours or days in the air from places that are poorly ventilated, not very spacious, crowded, shared, those where people speak loud, sing or where those present maintain a high respiratory rate, all of them places where it is not possible to establish any type of interpersonal distance as safe; contagion outdoors is highly unlikely.
  • This protocol does not completely guarantee that you avoid the contagion of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, as it is a highly volatile pathogen with a high infectious capacity, but it does offer you a very high level of protection for receiving a safe surgery.
  • This protocol may be subject to modifications in the future as knowledge of COVID-19 advances and the health authorities dictate.

WARNING: It is your responsibility as a patient to request and obtain the performance of the preoperative PCR test for detection of the SARS-CoV-2 within the established presurgical period, we do not assume any responsibility regarding this requirement; in case of not showing the document accrediting a negative result at the time of hospital admission for surgery your operation would be cancelled without refund and surcharges applied. | ACCESS FOR THOSE ESCORTING PATIENTS: The hospital where the surgeries are performed requires a complete vaccination certificate or negative diagnostic test performed within less than 48 hours to be able to accompany patients admitted to the ward room. This requirement does not apply to attending consultations and tests.
